On the afternoon of October 28th, two new wheat varieties from OR and Biotrigo two companies which are working with genetic improvement. In the venue of Cabanha Butia around 200 seed producers, from the South of the Country interested in improving the productivity and sanity of their wheat farms, were received. The presentation at Butiá showed the potential and yield of the new cultivars.
Mirante and Campeiro were presented in the market
Campeiro is a variety of wheat with performance and differentiated quality. It is a kind of wheat which produces white flour and has a very important performance in the field with excellent quality to manufacture cakes, and crackers and cookies.
Mirante is wheat with record in yielding. It was named ‘the turbo’ wheat produced by OR/Biotrigo, presenting 8,500 kg of yield in the trails in 2008, it is the new success in Paraná.
