Time has gone, it’s time for another Expointer, and the expectation and anxiety take hold of us who work at Butiá, that group of people who makes the company really take part in the agribusiness.
Butiá history tells us that we have been present since the First Expointer, we even before, when it was At Menino Deus Park. From that time on, we have already had 30 editions, this one will be the 31° and the awards were countless. We have never been out.
We are going to Esteio to cheer for Jersey cattle in the dairy event and for the morphology and for Suffolk sheep as well. The work has been done and we expect the results to show it was worthwhile.
Anyway, for us the most important is not the awards that will be on the shelves, but the fact of ‘being there’, take part, to make the agribusiness happen, get involved, touch and motivate. To all of us, it is the moment to see all our efforts, from the one who planted the grazing pasture, which served as the animal’s food, to the one who prepared the animals to be taken to the show. It is touching for all of us, as each one had his share of contribution.
It is time to get the applauses, regardless the prizes we are awarded. It is the demonstration of a year long of work. When we win, it is certain we are walking the right way; when we lose, it is certain we have to work even harder. Competitions also are part of our business and let’s hope it is fair and motivating, so that we can improve more and more.
In 2008, there will be news in the fair: A show with Marcelo Bertagnolli on September 4th, who will be launching his cd ‘Coming back to south’.
